Castres Olympique coach Laurent Labit praised his side after they bounced back from a difficult run of defeats to clinch a bonus-point 41-22 victory over Northampton Saints in the Heineken Cup.
Labit's side hadn't tasted victory since the end of October but put in a stunning display of rugby at Stade Pierre Antoine, scoring four tries in the process to record their first victory in Europe this season.
"We had a lot to prove after the recent defeats and we got a lot of pride back with that victory today," he said.
"There was a lot of effort put in and a lot of commitment and desire from the players out of the field and it was good to show we have our place in the Heineken Cup.
"To score 40 points against a team like Northampton was fantastic and it was a huge game for us.
"Qualification will still be very difficult especially as we have to go to Northampton and Munster for the next games.
"Its disappointing looking back to losing the game against Munster and missing out on the bonus point in Wales but we still have a lot to play for."
