Toulon forwards coach Olivier Azam was left disappointed after his side slipped to their first defeat in the Amlin Challenge Cup at the hands of Newcastle last night but was glad to come away with a losing points point.
The Falcons claimed a tight 6 v 3 victory in blustery conditions at Kingston Park to put themselves in a healthy position in Pool 2.
"We are disappointed, but it was difficult to play in these conditions," said Azam.
"It was good to get the bonus-point and hopefully we didn't pick up to many injuries ahead of our next game.
"We really want to progress in this competition and we have a good chance to. Next week will be important but we will go out, give it our best shot as we really want to qualify.
"We knew Newcastle would be a really tough team especially at home.
"They worked very hard for each other and it was a tough game and in these conditions anyone could have come away with the win."
The former Gloucester hooker made over 70 European appearances in his career and after making a losing return to England he is determined to reverse the outcome next weekend.
"It's is good to be back in England and see some familiar faces but I'm not enjoying the weather," he added.
"It will be tough next weekend but we are going all out for the win and will throw everything at it."
