Worcester Warriors will have to go into their Amlin Challenge Cup campaign without the services of England Saxons wing Miles Benjamin.
The 23-year-old flyer was banned for one week by an RFU Disciplinary Panel on Monday night for a dangerous tackle on London Wasps' outside half Nicky Robinson during the English Premiership match at Sixways on 28 October.
Benjamin pleaded guilty before a Disciplinary Panel chaired by Daniel White and was banned from 8-14 November. The panel deemed that the offence merited a low end entry point sanction and gave the player credit for his guilty plea and good record.
The suspension means Benjamin will miss Thursday night's European season opener at Sixways against the 2011 Amlin Challenge Cup runners-up Stade Francais Paris (kick-off 7.45pm). But Benjamin will be free to return for the Pool 1 visit to Italy to take on Banca Monte Crociati at Stadio XXV Aprile on Saturday, 18 November.
