London Wasps will go into their Amlin Challenge Cup campaign this weekend without the considerable presence of Shaun Edwards in their coaching team.
The 45-year-old ended a 10 year association with the club at the weekend, although there was no fairy tale ending as Northampton Saints turned-up and ran away with a 24-13 Premiership victory.
While new director of rugby Dai Young gets set to take his side into Europe with a trip to Bordeaux to face Bordeaux-Begles in a tough Pool 3 clash on Saturday, Edwards will be at home reflecting on the seven major trophies Wasps' won during his reign.
Included among that impressive haul were two Heineken Cup titles and an Amlin Challenge Cup final victory over Bath in 2003.
Edwards, whose contract as the Wales defence coach ended after their fourth place finish at the Rugby World Cup, received a standing ovation from the 8,000 crowd at Adams Park.
"It was a bit emotional, but the game is about the players, not the coaches. I've had some magnificent players to coach during my 10 years here," said Edwards.
"The Heineken Cup wins stand out for me because for a club relatively small in stature to beat the big French and Irish teams like Toulouse and Munster was a tremendous effort."
Bordeaux Begles surprised table topping Castres with a stunning 24-9 home victory at Stade Chaban-Delmas in the Top 14 to give Wasps plenty to think about before they travel.
