Gloucester Rugby have announced that centre Henry Trinder has signed a new two-year deal with the club.
The 22-year-old made his senior debut for the Cherry and Whites back in the 2007/8 season and played four times for the West Country club in the Amlin Challenge Cup last season.
A former England U20 international, he represented England in the non cap international against the Barbarians in May and scored a fine early try. He then went on to play a pivotal role for the England Saxons in their successful defence of the Churchill Cup in June.
"I'm very pleased to get it out of the way. It now gives me an opportunity to concentrate on the rest of this season and the two seasons to come after that," said Trinder.
"I'm really happy to stay at Gloucester, I'm enjoying my rugby here. The coaches are great, the other players are great and we've got a really good atmosphere in the squad. There was no decision to make really."
"Bryan (Redpath) wants me to push on. He's always been very supportive and backed me as a player and that's given me great confidence to go out and play my game within the team structure."
"I like working with him, Carl Hogg and the other coaches and the new contract means I can now focus on fulfilling my potential."
Gloucesterkick off their 2011/12 Heineken Cup campaign with a trip to four-times Champions Toulouse on Sunday November 13.
