ERC, the tournament organisers, today (Saturday, 29 October), announced the match official appointments for Rounds 1 and 2 with Wayne Barnes, who was in charge of the Bronze Medal match at the World Cup, on duty at Ravenhill for Ulster Rugby's contest against ASM Clermont Auvergne.
Dave Pearson (England) will referee reigning champions Leinster's match at Heineken Cup newcomers Montpellier while the Scarlets, who will become the fifth club to play 100 Heineken Cup matches when they meet Castres Olympique at Parc y Scarlets, will have Greg Garner (England) in charge of their landmark fixture.
