Bath's new fly-half recruit Stephen Donald has been called up to the New Zealand World Cup squad after the All Blacks suffered more injury setbacks at the weekend.
Donald, who signed a three-year deal with the West Country side and is expected in England in early November, has been added to the squad after injuries to playmakers Dan Carter and Colin Slade.
Carter was ruled out of the tournament after injuring his groin before New Zealand's final pool match against Canada and his replacement in the number 10 jersey, Slade, lasted just over 30 minutes of the All Blacks' quarter final victory over Argentina on Sunday.
Donald will now compete with Aaron Cruden for the fly-half berth for this weekend's semi-final tie against Australia.
With his arrival at Bath set for early November, Donald could feature in the opening round's of this season's Heineken Cup, which sees the former Champions travel to Glasgow Warriors on Sunday November 13 before welcoming Montpellier to the Rec the following weekend.
