Double Amlin Challenge Cup winner Jos Baxendell has been added to the coaching staff at Sale Sharks.
The former England centre made his debut for the club back in 1994 and his final game for Sale was the Amlin Challenge Cup victory against Pau in 2005
.
He amassed 196 league 32 European appearances in his career and executive director of sport Steve Diamond was delighted to add him into the coaching ranks.
"Jos was considered for the Head Coach role but we thought that Tony Hanks had the skill sets that we wanted but we always knew we needed someone to assist whoever got the job," he said.
"Tony met Jos. He admired him as a player and what he did coaching wise and Jos has now come on board. He's steeped in our Sale culture and will be working for three or four days a week with the players, so it's all good."
