Mike Brown and George Lowe have re-signed for Harlequins until the end of the 2013/14 season.
Solid under the high ball, strong in defence and a brilliant counterattacker, Brown is the textbook full-back. He has made over 150 appearances for last season's Amlin Challenge Cup champions, scoring 50 tries. An impressive 2010/11 saw him voted not only Supporters' Player of the Season but also Players' Player of the Season at Harlequins.
Brown made his 1st XV debut during the 2005/06 season in the pre-season friendly against London Irish. After representing England Saxons in 2007, he went on to win two full caps on England's tour of South Africa in May and June 2007. The following summer, he added a third cap when he started in England's opening game against the All Blacks in New Zealand.
Last season, he was once again called into the England Saxons squad to play Italy A and Ireland A, scoring a try against Italy A. After making a major contribution to Quins Amlin Challenge Cup winning campaign, he went on to help England Saxons retain the Churchill Cup over the summer of 2011.
Director of Rugby, Conor O'Shea, said: "Mike embodies everything a professional rugby player should be and everything we want of a player here at Harlequins. Mike is a competitor, who has a desire to succeed that is second to none. We are delighted that he has committed himself yet again to the club for effectively the next three seasons and look forward to helping him achieve his goals, both with Harlequins and England."
A former England Under 20 and Quins Academy graduate, Lowe has made the number 13 shirt his own since making his debut for the club two seasons ago. "We have said we want to keep the squad together and let it mature and George's signing is a further statement of that intent," said O'Shea. "It's hard to believe George is just 21, as it already feels like he's a fixture."
Having qualified for the Heineken Cup courtesy of their Amlin Challenge Cup triumph, Quins start their European journey with a home game in Pool 6 against Connacht on Friday, 11 November.
