With the build-up to the Dublin 2013 European club rugby finals intensifying by the day, the four elite clubs of ASM Clermont Auvergne, Toulon, Leinster Rugby and Stade Francais Paris, who are focused on their quest for Heineken Cup and Amlin Challenge Cup silverware respectively, won't be the only clubs with Europe on their mind over the weekend of 17 and 18 May.

Sale Sharks sign Higgins

Sale Sharks have signed wing/centre Andrew Higgins. Formerly with Bristol, Bath and Exeter Chiefs, the 30-year-old has joined on a one-season deal.
"I'm very excited to be joining Sale Sharks. The boys have been working hard, and it's been a case of getting up to speed with everyone else," said Higgins.
Sharks' Executive Director of Sport Steve Diamond added: "We knew we had a shortfall over the World Cup period. Andrew wants to start his career again, and we thought this would be a good opportunity for him. He's impressed in training and we'll see where he can get to."
