Johnny Sexton may have been named Heineken Man of the Match for his outstanding second-half performance in Leinster's tophy-winning triumph over Northampton but it wasn't just his on-field heroics that won the day for the Dubliners.
The 25-year-old fly-half came of age in the 2009 semi-final triumph over Munster but was even better in this year's showpiece.
Sexton was simply sensational in Cardiff, scoring a brace of tries after the break and finishing with a personal tally of 28 points in the 33-22 victory at the Millennium Stadium.
But while he will be remembered for one of the most dazzling individual displays in the history of Europe's greatest club competition it was his words at half-time that will stick in the mind of a true Leinster legend.
"There were some inspirational words said at half time," said Ireland captain and Leinster veteran Brian O'Driscoll.
"Jonathan Sexton was just phenomenal. He picked up two tries in the second half and was a man possessed but he said some really important things.
"He said this game would be remembered if we could come back from a 16-point deficit and, sure enough, we'll remember this for a long time.
"We just coughed up so much ball in the first half. I spilled one when we just needed to recycle and go again. That was the difference in the second half - we managed to hold on, if the pass wasn't on we held on to it and a few of them stuck as well.
"I've not really been involved in anything like it. We knew we had it in us because we've played like that at times throughout the year.
"We've played against some really tough opposition and we knew that if we could hold on to possession we could cause them problems, and we did that in the second half."
As for the man himself, Sexton refused to take the credit for a remarkable turnaraound but he did give an insight into exactly what he told his clubmates during the interval.
"I'm a bit of sports nerd," added Sexton.
"I like to watch a lot of it and I said that you see this in sport all the time - a team just comes back.
"You look a Liverpool in the Champions League Final a few years ago. Stuff like this happens in Cup Finals and we had to believe it was going to be our day.
"Luckily we got the platform and we took our chances in the second half.
"We struggled to get any type of platform in the first half. It's a tough game when you can't get that. Every time they got a scrum they seemed to just blow us back.
"We were shell shocked a bit and we needed half time to regroup. Luckily we have some good leaders in this team and were able to do that."
