Northampton Saints' dream of a league and cup double were brought to an end as they were beaten 11-3 by Leicester Tigers in the Aviva Premiership semi-finals at Welford Road.
Now Jim Mallinder's men will concentrate their effort on their clash with Leinster, who are still eyeing a double after their Magners League semi-final win over Ulster on Friday night, in Saturday's Heineken Cup final at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium.
"When you reach the semi-finals in the Premiership you need to be at home. Next week we are in the Heineken Cup final and that is a one off game," said Mallinder, Saints' director of rugby.
"Even though we are down today there is no reason why we can't turn it around. We should have done better in the second half and it was a disappointing performance from us.
"Leicester didn't let us get into the areas we needed to be in and they stopped us from putting any phases together. We needed to respond to that and we failed to do so."
Two penalties from Toby Flood to one from his opposite number Steve Myler gave the Tigers a 6-3 lead before Alesana Tuilagi bulldozed his way through Bruce Reihana to score the only try of the game and put his side into their seventh straight Premiership final.
