Sale Sharks have signed Welsh International Number 8 Andy Powell on a two-year deal.
The 27-year-old who left London Wasps earlier this month will move to Edgeley Park this summer and becomes new executive director of sport, Steve Diamond's fourteenth new signing.
Powell has been capped 17 times by Wales and also toured South Africa with the Britain and Irish Lions in 2009.
The former Cardiff Blues back-row has made 36 European appearances in his career.
"This is a huge signing for us," said Diamond.
"Andy has tremendous experience, is one of the best ball carrying forwards in World Rugby and is one of the final pieces in the jigsaw as far as our recruitment goes for next term."
