Stade Francais second row Tom Palmer is hoping he can recreate his impressive finals' record with Wasps after his new side claimed a place in the Amlin Challenge Cup showpiece.
The England star can boast a hat-trick of finals victories with the Londoners having picked up a brace of domestic titles and a Heineken Cup winners medal during his stellar career at Adams Park.
And now Palmer is keen to guide Stade to a first-ever European trophy having helped the Parisians edge past fellow French outfit Clermont Auvergne on Friday night.
"I've won three finals from three so far, so hopefully I can keep that up," said Palmer, after Lionel Beauxis kicked 19 points in a 29-25 victory in Paris.
"It's a big achievement to reach the final. It was a pretty tough game out there and I don't think either team played particularly well. There were a lot of mistakes and we capitalized on those the most.
"We took our chances. Every time we got into their 22 area, we had penalty chances and took those. We were quite fortunate really with the two tries we got: one from an interception and one from when they dropped the ball.
"But we showed some good character in defence. We were a lot more physical than we've been recently and we generally defended better than we have done for a while."
