In a dress rehearsal for their Amlin Challenge Cup semi-final on Friday April 29, Stade Francais and ASM Clermont Auvergne meet this weekend in the French Top 14 Championship in Paris.
The visitors currently sit five places above their opponents in the Top 14 and Stade will be looking to put a run of two domestic defeats behind them when the sides meet on Saturday.
Both sides will be looking for the psychological edge ahead of their semi-final clash and Stade will be looking for their first piece of European silverware after missing out in two previous finals.
Clermont on the other hand are looking for their third triumph in the Amlin Challenge Cup after winning the competition in 1999 and 2007.
The two other semi-finalists, Munster and Harlequins find themselves on the road this weekend with league fixtures against the Scarlets and Bath respectively.
The Irish side currently lead the Magners League by twelve points and look on course for a home play-off semi-final in the competition. Parc y Scarlets has been a happy hunting ground in the past for Munster who have beaten the Scarlets on every occasion they have met at the new stadium.
The visitors will still be without Paul O'Connell for the game who has further scans this week to determine the length of his lay-off but Ireland scrum-half Tomas O'Leary is nearing a return.
Harlequins continue their push for a play-off place this weekend when they visit the Rec to play Bath who are just a point below them in the English Premiership.
Nick Evans returned from injury last weekend to guide Quins past Wasps in the Amlin Challenge Cup quarter-final and they will be hoping the former All Black fly-half can continue his rich run of form in the West Country on Saturday.
