London Irish centre Seilala Mapusua wants to bow out of the English game on a high, by ensuring his side qualify for next season's Heineken Cup.
Mapusua has made 29 European appearances for the Exiles since his arrival in 2006 but is leaving the club this summer to join the Kubota Spears.
The 31-year-old, who looks set to travel to the World Cup in New Zealand later this year with Samoa, played in all six of London Irish's Heineken Cup Pool games this year and has a simple target of a top six finish for the club this season.
"We had a dip in form around Christmas and it affected confidence and our away record has suffered," he told the Evening Standard.
"The bottom line for me is to ensure we qualify for the Heineken Cup and I want to be able to leave this great club knowing that has been achieved. That is where Irish belong.
"You cannot point to one problem and it's been a number of factors. A lack of consistency is something that we have struggled to deal with.
"We started the season with a roar and then the autumn internationals arrived and we lost a few key players, which disrupted our rhythm."
