Damien Traille, the man who landed a record three drop goals to kill off the Ospreys' challenge in last season's Heineken Cup, is out of Biarritz Olympique's side for Sunday's quarter-final clash with Toulouse.
The vastly experienced centre, who has 81 caps to his credit, pulled up in training and has been forced to withdraw from the re-match of the 2010 Heineken Cup final with a bruised heel.
His place in the home side's midfield at Estadio Anoeta, in San Sebastian, will be filled by Charles Gimenez. Laurent Tranier comes on to the replacements bench to take over from Gimenez.
It is the second major blow in as many days for last season's runners-up, who lost Australian full back Dane Haylett-Petty to an ankle injury. His place 15 has been taken by England World Cup winner Iain Balshaw.
