Northampton Saints go into their Heineken Cup quarter-final against Ulster on Sunday full of confidence after crushing Sale Sharks 53 v 24 at the weekend and director of rugby Jim Mallinder is delighted his side are back on top form.
The Saints impressed during the early and mid part of the season, leading the English Premiership and coming through the European Pool stage as the only side with a 100% record.
However the International period hit the side hard and results were harder to come by for Mallinder's men, but three wins on the bounce including comprehensive victories over London Wasps and then Sale have put Northampton right back on track.
"We have won three out of three now and the end of season is now in sight and we know what we have to do," he said.
"We are playing well at the moment and need to keep doing that.
"We have got good players here and they are playing well for each other. We went through the spell of defeats but we came through and are now out on the other side.
"I watched Ulster last night and they are a really good side.
"They are winning games and on a good run and we know it is going to be tough.
"We spoke about next week in the changing room after the game and we have done all we can for now.
"The game is on Sunday next wee so we get a little extra rest time and we will enjoy that and then come in and get ready for a massive week.
"We know at our best we are a good side and capable of winning the game."
