Stade Francais coach Michael Cheika admits his team must improve if they are to reach the semi-finals of the Amlin Challenge Cup.
The Parisians went down to their latest defeat in the French Top 14, losing 38-10 in Toulon, ahead of facing Montpellier in the quarter-finals of Europe.
An interception try by centre Guilaume Bousses briefly kept them in the game at Stade Felix Mayol against the Heineken Cup quarter-finalists.
But the loss of captain Sergio Parisse to the sin bin in the second-half proved costly as 14-man Stade conceded two tries in the rout that left them 10th in the domestic table.
Cheika said: "We matched Toulon in many areas but the yellow card hurt us. There are clearly a few things we must improve this week and we will need to step up if we're going to win that quarter-final."
