Tomas O'Leary will miss Munster's Amlin Challenge Cup quarter-final tie with Brive through injury.
The Ireland scrum-half suffered a further injury set-back earlier this month when he injured his eye in a freak training accident in the build up to the England Six Nations match.
A rope from a training speed sled broke away and hit O'Leary in the eye causing a bleed and after meeting a specialist this week it was announced he won't return to action until mid-April, ruling him out of the last eight match.
In further injury news for the former Heineken Cup Champions, Jerry Flannery will undergo surgery to discover the cause of his long term calf problem.
"Tomas will see a specialist this week but is expected to be in the frame for the Scarlets game while Jerry undergoes a surgical procedure this week after which medics will further assess his injury," said a Munster spokesman.
