Schmidt aware of Leicester's threat

Leinster coach Joe Schmidt saw his side move up into second place in the Magners League on the weekend with a 26 v 16 victory against Newport Gwent Dragons but he also witnessed Leicester comprehensively beat Bath in the English Premiership and is fully aware of threat the Tigers will pose in Heineken Cup quarter-final.
"I saw Leicester's result at the weekend and we are under no illusions, the quarter-final game is going to be very tough," he said.
"Everything we do now is going to help or hinder us in our preparation for the Heineken Cup.
"I'm delighted with our result. It was a pretty flat performance from us and we lacked a bit of cohesion but thankfully we survived here in Newport and we know how tough that is.
"They've had a fair bit of rugby, with four games on the trot with pretty much the same team while we're trying to bring our International guys back in.
Leinster and Leicester will come together at a packed Aviva Stadium on Saturday April 9 in a repeat of the 2009 Heineken Cup final.
The Irish province came out on top in that encounter to lift their first European Trophy and we are set for another titanic battle between the two famous clubs in the knock-out stage this year.
Leinster travel to Thomond Park this weekend to play Munster in their final game before the quarter-final as first meets second in the Magners League.
Following their victory at The Rec, Leicester are on the road again this weekend as they face Harlequins at the Stoop on Saturday.
