Amlin Challenge Cup quarter-finalists Harlequins have recruited Western Force prop Tim Fairbrother ahead of the 2011/12 season.
The 29-year-old New Zealand born tight-head has previously played for the Hurricanes and been on the fringes of the Australian national squad but will make the move from Perth to London this summer.
"I have really enjoyed my time in Perth, it was the right decision for me to come across to Australia but I feel now is the right time to test myself in another competition after nine seasons in Super Rugby," said Fairbrother.
Harlequins face compatriots London Wasps in the last eight of the Amlin Challenge Cup and continued their preparations ahead of the clash in emphatic fashion, defeating Gloucester 53 v 15 at the Stoop on Saturday.
