England International David Flatman has signed a contract extension with Bath to remain at the club for a further three years.
The 31-year-old loosehead prop has become a cornerstone of the Bath pack since his arrival at the club in 2003 and has been capped eight times by England, the last of which came on the 2010 summer tour.
Flatman has tasted European success, lifting the Amlin Challenge Cup with Bath in 2008 and has made 47 appearances in Europe.
"I am delighted to have signed for another three seasons at the club I call home. Bath is a hugely ambitious club, and I am excited that I am going to be part of a club that are looking to move things forward, both on and off the field," said Flatman.
Director of Rugby, Sir Ian McGeechan, commented "Flats (Flatman) is a great player to have around the squad. He has a lot of experience, which will be very useful in bringing on some of our younger players, and is technically very strong at scrum time, as we saw when he came on against Biarritz in France."
