ERC have received a Citing Complaint following Round 6 of the 2010 / 2011 Heineken Cup. The Citing Complaint is against FAAN RAUTENBACH (No 3) - London Irish (v Munster at Thomond Park on Saturday, 22 January, 2011)
The complaint was made by Citing Commisioner, Francois Guers (France). Rautenbach is alleged to have stamped on the head and shoulder of Munster's David Wallace (No 6) in the first half, and he received a yellow card for the incident.
Robert Williams (Wales) has been appointed as the independent Judicial Officer to hear the citing by telephone conference call on Thursday, 27 January, 2011.
Law 10.4 (b) - A player must not stamp or trample on an opponent. Under the IRB Recommended Sanctions for Offences Committed within the Playing Enclosure, Law 10.4 (b) carries the following penalties: Low End: 2 weeks; Mid Range: 5 weeks; Top End: 9 to 52 weeks.
