In one of three reasons to cheer, Leicester Tigers lock Louis Deacon was presented with an ERC Elite Award at the weekend to mark his 50th appearance in the Heineken Cup.
The 30-year-old received the cap from Tigers' executive chairman Peter Tom who also presented the England international forward with a club award to mark his 200th start.
Deacon played his first game in Europe's premier club competition back in 2000 and has gone on to play in two Heineken Cup finals.
On Sunday he helped his side qualify for the knock-out stages of this year's competition with a 62 v 14 victory over Benetton Treviso at Welford Road.
The double European Champions will take on Leinster in the quarter-final at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on the weekend of 8/9/10 April 2011.
