ERC can confirm that the Federation Française de Rugby (FFR) has withdrawn its application to host the 2014 Heineken Cup and Amlin Challenge Cup finals, due to the ongoing uncertainty regarding the availability of the Stade de France.
Former Heineken Cup champions Brive, seeded second in the knock-out stages are at home against double European Champions Munster who qualified for the competition as one of three best-runners up from the Heineken Cup.
Double Amlin Challenge Cup winners Harlequins will face London Wasps who themselves have lifted the Heineken Cup twice and the Amlin Challenge Cup once back in 2003, in a fascinating tie.
The quarter-final matches, to be played the weekend of 8 / 9 / 10 April, 2011 will be:
(1) Stade Francais Paris v Montpellier (8)
(2) Brive v Munster (7)
(3) La Rochelle v ASM Clermont Auvergne (6)
(4) Harlequins v London Wasps (5)
