Heineken Cup newcomers Aironi Rugby have received mixed disciplinary news ahead of the final two rounds of European action.
Aironi produced one of the biggest shocks in Heineken Cup history when they recorded their first-ever win with a stunning 28-27 victory over last year's beaten finalists Biarritz Olympique last December.
The Italian outfit will be looking to end their debut Heineken Cup campaign on another high when they travel to Bath in Round 5 and then host Ulster a week later.
But if they are to build on that famous triumph over Biarritz they will have to do so without Giulio Toniolatti.
The 25-year-old wing has featured in all four Heineken Cup games so far this season but will miss the final two group matches after being suspended for three weeks, although the player could still yet appeal the decision.
Toniolatti was found guilty under Law 10.4 (j) of a dangerous tackle on Benetton Treviso scrum-half Tobias Botes during the Magners League game in Viadana on New Year's Eve.
The Italian international, who was a try scorer in that memorable win over the French giants, will be free to play again on January 24 after an FIR judicial committee considered the tackle a low-end offence and took into account Toniolatti's good disciplinary records.
But while Toniolatti's suspension still rules him out of the remainder of Aironi's Heineken Cup campaign, a second suspended player will be back in time for the trip to Bath on Saturday, January 15.
Veteran second row Marco Bortolami picked up his third yellow card of the season in the 16-15 defeat to Treviso.
That tally brought a one-match suspension that rules him out of Aironi's Magners League clash with Cardiff Blues in the Welsh capital this Friday but will see him free to play by the time Aironi travel to the West Country to face the 1998 Heineken Cup winners.
