It's down to the wire now for the five contenders who have been shortlisted for the ultimate individual accolade in northern hemisphere rugby, ERC European Player of the Year 2013.




David Attwood (No 4) - Gloucester Rugby (v La Rochelle at Kingsholm on Sunday, 19 December, 2010)
Attwood is alleged to have stamped on La Rochelle prop Petrisor Toderasc, (No 1) in the first half
Law 10.4 (b) 'A player must not stamp on an opponent'
IRB recommended sanction - Low End: 2 weeks; Mid Range: 5 weeks; Top End: 9+ weeks; Maximum 52 weeks
Richie Rees (No 9) - Cardiff Blues (v Northampton Saints at Cardiff City Stadium on Sunday, 19 December, 2010)
Rees is alleged to have made contact with the eyes / eye area of Northampton Saints hooker Dylan Hartley (No 2), during the first-half
Law 10.4(m) 'Contact with the eye / eye area; Acts contrary to good sportsmanship'
IRB recommended sanction - Low End: 12 weeks; Mid Range: 18 weeks: Top End: 24+ weeks; Maximum: 156 weeks
