And with Stade Francais now 10 points clear at the top of Pool 4 and with a huge relegation battle on their hands domestically, Leeds know a victory on Sunday is of huge importance to the remainder of the season.
"Last week's win was the start of a period of five games we've identified in which we need to improve the performance and get wins," head coach Neil Back, who tasted Heineken Cup success with Leicester Tigers in 2001 and 2002, told the Yorkshire Post.
"Our objectives were met and you could see the confidence and belief grow as the game unfolded, the lads' chests were out, the body language was positive, they were enjoying it. It was exactly what we needed and had been working hard to get to.
"I was pleased for the players. It was a relief, there were smiles on faces. But we know we only did what we had to do and we need to improve on that this week."
A bonus-point victory on Sunday would take Leeds to within a single win of their high-profile Parisian rivals, although, with a trip to the French capital still to come in Round 5, Leeds still have it all to do to qualify for the Amlin Challenge Cup quarter finals.
But if their European challenge wasn't difficult enough, Back's men face an equally formidable task if they are to avoid demotion from English rugby's top-flight.
Leeds are without a win in nine Premiership games, leaving them marooned at the foot of the table.
And for Back, a European double over Crociati, is simply vital if Leeds are to turn their fortunes around at home.
"We are building a game-plan that will take us into the block of Premiership games against Newcastle, Gloucester and Bath," added Back, ahead of Sunday's trip to Parma.
"We have got an eye on Newcastle and we're putting together a very competitive, compact side that will hopefully take some belief, some confidence into what is a key game for us.
"It will be our 10th Premiership game but there are still enough points to be won. Hopefully, on the back of two wins, we can make it three at Newcastle and take that confidence into the rest of the season."
