European giants Stade Francais found it tough going in Romania as they faced a spirited Bucharest Oaks side.
Romanian International Stelian Burcea opened the scoring with a try after four minutes which Danut Dumbrava converted.
The French side hit back with three unanaswered tries with Hugo Bonneval, Laurent Sempere and Pascal Pape all touching down. Scrum-half Julien Dupuy added two conversions as the visitors raced into a 19-7 lead.
On the stroke of half-time Madalin Lemnaru crossed for an all important converted try to keep the hosts in the game.
After the break Italian captain Sergio Parisse got his name on the score sheet before Valentin Calafeteanu kicked two penalties for Burcharest.
A late Noel Oelschig penalty denied the home side any points.

Rovigo 10 - 33 Agen
American winger Kevin Swyrin scored a brace as Agen ran out comfortable winners in Northern Italy.
It was Swyrin who opened the scoring after eight minutes and Conrad Barnard added the conversion.
German Bustos replied for the hosts with a penalty which was to be the only score of the half.
Barnard slotted over the two points after Agen were awarded a penalty try and was on form again when he lined up the conversion from captain's Jean Monribot's score.
Osea Kolinisau scored just after the break for the visitors before Alberto Zori's effort for the home-side after 60 minutes.
Swyrin also had the last word of the evening, touching down for his second in injury time and importantly the all-important fourth try.

Petrarca Rugby 37 v 10 Cetransa El Salvador
Petrarca dominated this Pool 2 encounter and claimed their first victory in this season's competition.
Martin Acuna scored an early brace, crossing twice within 9 minutes in a one sided affair in Padova.
Englishman Tim Walsh added a penalty between Martin's two scores before leaving the field injured. His replacement Alberto Chillon converted Martin's second try and then added the extras after Nicolas Gatto touched down.
Zane Ansell scored after 30 minutes as Petrarca extended their lead before Gascon Luis got the visitors off the mark with a try just before half time. Nava Jame added the conversion and then a penalty just after the break.
Chris Caporello crossed for an un-converted try before Ansell rounded off the scoring with his second midway through the second period.
Pool 5
La Rochelle 6 v 13 Gloucester
Gloucester closed the gap on Pool Six leaders La Rochelle with a hard-fought victory which leaves them just a point behind their rivals at the top of the table.
In a scrappy opening 25 minutes, James Simpson-Daniel's try was the only highlight.
La Rochelle took a fifth minute lead when full back Benjamin Dambielle slotted home a routine penalty.
The Cherry and Whites offered little in the opening quarter but wing Simpson-Daniel cut a smart line in midfield off Luke Narraway to side step Dambielle and touch down.
Nicky Robinson added the conversion to silence the home fans but the Wales fly-half missed two further penalties to extend the lead in the 28th minute and on the stroke of half time
Gloucester were put under pressure in the second period but replacement number ten Freddie Burns added two penalties to nudge the visitors 13-3 clear.
But Dambielle reduced the deficit to set up a grandstand finish but Redpath's men held firm.

Brive 18 v 9 Sale
Brive condemned Sale to their first Heineken Cup defeat in a tense match in France.
All the points came during the first forty minutes, French International Alexis Palisson crossing for two tries for the hosts. Full Back Julien Caminati added eight points for the hosts with the boot.
Nick Macleod kicked nine points for Sale but Brive hung on for the first victory in five games.
