Brendan Venter has reassured Saracens fans that the club has a bright future despite his imminent return to South Africa.
Venter will move back to his homeland early next year due to family reasons but he will retain a close link with the club as their new technical director.
Mark McCall steps up to the role of director of rugby while Andy Farrell becomes firs-team coach in a move that Venter believes won't affect the club's chances of climbing the domestic and European rankings.
"This club is on the up. There are so many people involved and the important thing is I haven't left the club," said Venter, whose Saracens side warmed up for the December double header with Racing Metro with a 26-14 win over Harlequins on Sunday afternoon.
"Mark has been my right-hand man all along and now the role will just be reversed. I will just be another ear for him.
"Andy has been magnificent as everyone has been here. The club is in really great shape.
"The club is in a really healthy position. This is a top-four club that can compete in all competitions.
"We have a really good side and when it comes to the business end of the season we will be in the running for a trophy.
"Our goal is to win something this season and I believe we are still on track for that."
Although Venter remains confident of silverware this season, Sarries face a tough task if they are to achieve that goal in European competition.
Venter's men have lost both their opening Pool 2 games in this year's Heineken Cup, firstly away at French Champions Clermont Auvergne and then at home to the 2009 Euro Kings Leinster at Wembley.
Next up for Sarries is Saturday's clash with Racing at Vicarage Road, followed by the return fixture in France the following Friday.
