Saracens will be without Kameli Ratuvou for at four months after the Fijian centre underwent surgery on a knee injury yesterday.
The 28-year-old who has been an ever present fixture in the Saracens line-up was stretchered from the field at Kingsholm against Gloucester on Saturday.
The injury is believed not to be as bad as first feared but he is still estimated to be out for between four and six months.
In other injury news for the north London side, Alex Goode is expected to be out for another four weeks with a torn quad muscle.
The 22-year-old has already spent two weeks on the sideline with the injury but will now miss Saracens' back-to-back games against Racing Metro 92.
