England and Sale prop Andrew Sheridan has been linked with a big-money move to Toulon.
The powerful prop is out of contract with Sale next summer and is believed to be mulling over a move to France.
Heineken Cup contenders Toulon are said to be leading the chase and Sheridan will be familiar with their head coach Philippe Saint-Andre who spent five years at the reins of Sale.
A number of former Edgeley Park favourites, Juan Fernandez Lobbe, Sebastian Bruno, Rory Lamont and Dean Schofield, have already moved to the South of France and Sheridan could be the next.
Sale head coach Mike Brewer, said: "It's fairly well known that Sheri is having a look at France after the next World Cup.
"His next contract is more than likely to be his last major one. He's possibly done everything that he would want to here in England and he's having a look abroad.
"In my discussions with Sheri, I've said that we won't be able to match the big offers he'll get in France. But money doesn't drive Andrew, it's about lifestyle and where he feels comfortable."
Sheridan is yet to play for Sale in this year's Amlin Challenge Cup but he will boost the two-time champions latest assault on the competition in the back-to-back encounters with Brive later this month, after returning from a shoulder injury.
