Leeds Carnegie have rewarded centre James Tincknell with a new two-year deal at the club following his impressive start to the season.
The 22-year-old, who has played in both of Leeds' opening two Amlin Challenge Cup matches this season, only arrived at Headingley on a six-month deal from Wharfedale in the summer but his performances have already earned him a longer-term deal.
"It has been unbelievable how things have worked out for me since I came to Leeds," said Tincknell, who turned his back on a promising cricket career to focus on rugby two seasons ago.
"I got my head down in pre-season and worked hard and thankfully the coaching staff have rewarded me for that and I have got some game time.
"I have really enjoyed playing as part of the team and I think my confidence has grown with every game. I am constantly learning whether that is at training or in games and I know I still have a lot to learn."
