ITV join forces with ERC

Heineken Cup and Amlin Challenge Cup organisers ,ERC, have agreed a new broadcast partnership with ITV which will provide even greater exposure for both tournaments as the 16th season of European club rugby action gets under way this weekend.
The two-year deal will see ITV4 show a major highlights package from both competitions on a Monday night after each round to add even greater value to ERC's already extensive broadcast portfolio.
In welcoming the latest broadcast partners, ERC chief executive, Derek McGrath, said: "We are delighted to be entering into a new relationship with a major broadcast player in the UK market. The deal will enhance UK coverage of both the Heineken Cup and the Amlin Challenge Cup as our tournaments continue to go from strength to strength."
With a wide portfolio of broadcast partners in Sky Sports, France Televisions, Canal +, Sky Italia, S4C and RTE, ITV4's highlights programme will give both fans and viewers an additional opportunity to savour the best of the action round by round.
ITV4 kick off their coverage on Monday (11 October) at 6.00pm.
