"We've had some hard fixtures so we're feeling very good about the current run of form," said the United States international prior to Sarries' Pool 2 opener at the Stade Marcel Michelin.
"We're looking to push for the play-offs and to put ourselves in a good position before the Heineken Cup.
"These games are a huge challenge. They don't get any easier but you want these tough games. They're awesome games to play in."
But while Wyles insists confidence is running high in the lead up to the trip to France and the Wembley encounter with Leinster, Venter is looking for the killer instinct that could be vital against teams of the quality of their European opponents.
"I'm a bit deflated to be honest, because we should have had them and finished the job much earlier," said Venter after Sarries led Leicester 26-10 with 20 minutes remaining before hanging on for a 26-20 victory at Vicarage Road.
"Leicester were conceding penalties because we had the ball for sustained periods, but we butchered a couple of sitters.
"We must learn to put teams away when we have outplayed them as much as we outplayed Leicester. If Leicester had been in that situation they would have come away with a winning bonus point for four tries.
"I've told my guys that they are a much better team than they think. It's a matter of confidence, but they must accept that last season was based on merit and we are getting better."
