Toulon recorded a hard-fought 22-14 victory over the Cardiff Blues at the Arms Park back in October and will be favourites to get the win when the two sides meet on French soil.

But Toulon, who are the Top 14 leaders, suffered their first home defeat of the season when they lost 19-15 to Racing Metro 92 last weekend and will want to get back to winning ways against the Blues.

The Welsh side, who have no chance of a Heineken Cup quarter-final place, will be hoping to build on their shock victory over Munster on Irish soil in the Pro12 last weekend.

The Blues will also be hoping to replicate the performance which saw them become the first Welsh side to lift a European trophy when they beat Toulon 28-21 in the Amlin Challenge Cup final in Marseille back in 2010.

A young and new-look Cardiff Blue side will be under no illusions of the task facing them and the likely backlash which Jonny Wilkinson and company could inflict on them.
