London Wasps - five points clear at the top of a highly competitive group - can as good as clinch a place in the quarter-finals if they can take maximum points from their contest against bottom club Rugby Mogliano at Adams Park.
Wasps, who were held to a draw at Bayonne, trounced the Italian newcomers 59-12 at Stadio Maurizio Quaggia in Round 2 with second row Joe Launchbury - English rugby's find of the season - crossing for one of the nine tries.
A similar sort of result in front of the Wasps faithful and the Bayonne contest against the Dragons ending in a regulation win for one or the other would ensure Wasps their place in the last eight.
However, if Wasps can take a maximum 10 points from their final two matches, they finish on the road at Rodney Parade against the Dragons, then that would be good enough to earn them a home tie in the quarter-finals.
