There was another first for Exeter Chiefs as they recorded their debut win in their debut Heineken Cup tournament with their 22-16 victory over the Scarlets in the away leg of their Pool 5 double-header at Parc Y Scarlets.
Gareth Steenson kicked 17 of their points and collectively the Premiership sides will be looking for more of the same when they face a club who reached the semi-finals of this competition in 2007 but still looking for their first win in the Pool.
The English outfit realistically have little chance of making the quarter-finals but they will be keeping an eye on Leinster's result against Clermont in Dublin because the Irish province are only four points ahead of them in the Pool.
The Chiefs will want to finish has high up the Pool as they can and they have proved their European credentials, especially at home at Sandy Park and they will really fancy their chances against the Scarlets.
The Welsh region came into this tournament with a far amount of hype after Wales' Grand Slam success and exploits in the 2011 World Cup, but they have yet to record a win in this season's tournament.
The Scarlets have managed two losing bonus points but their heavy defeat to Clermont in France appears to have taken a heavy toll on them and they have nothing to play for but pride in Exeter.
