It's down to the wire now for the five contenders who have been shortlisted for the ultimate individual accolade in northern hemisphere rugby, ERC European Player of the Year 2013.
England's 2003 World Cup winner, Jonny Wilkinson, will be looking to guide his Toulon side to a victory over Danny Cipriani and his fellow Sharks at the Salford City Stadium.
Toulon, who just missed out on the French title last season, will be overwhelming favourites to get a win against a Sharks side which has struggled all year in the English Premiership.
Dwayne Peel, the Wales and Lions scrum-half, will make his 50th appearance in the Heineken Cup when he lines up for Sale who have lost four of their last five games against French sides in the Heineken Cup.
Sale's last win over a French side in Europe was over Clermont in 2009, while Toulon's only win on English side in the Heineken Cup was against London Irish in 2010.
Sale and Toulon have never played each other before in the Heineken Cup.
• Toulon have won 12/12 scrums on their own put in so far in the Heineken Cup.
• Andy Powell has made eight offloads in just 80 minutes of action so far this season, no other player has made more than this.
• Sale have lost four of their last five games against French sides in the Heineken Cup, beating only Clermont Auvergne in 2009.
• Toulon won on their only other Heineken Cup away game in England, beating London Irish in December 2010, 19-13.
