Montpellier came from behind to snatch what could be a crucial win over Toulon, in Thursday's European Challenge Cup match
The all-French tussle went the way of the home side when two late penalties from Olivier Sarraméa overturned an 8-10 deficit.
That meant 14-10 win for Montpellier, and it keeps them within touching distance of Pool leaders Northampton Saints.
Montpellier have eight points, but have played one more match than the English side. They will be hoping Northampton slip up against Bristol Rugby on Saturday.
The Pool is still wide open, and thanks to the win, Montpellier still have a fighting chance of qualifying for the final eight of the European Challenge Cup
