Well travelled Elvis Seveali'i will be looking to steer his latest side to European Challenge Cup success next season after signing to London Irish.
The 15-times-capped Samoan centre makes the switch from Sale Sharks to become head coach Tony Booth's first signing.
The experienced back will play his seventh season in the northern hemisphere game after spells with Bath, Ospreys and Sale, and has 20 European appearances behind him, scoring five tries.
But his game-time has been limited in the past two season's at Sale with just two European appearances during that time,
He represented Wellington in the under-19s and under-21s as well as the National Provincial Championship team, but now will be a important figure as the Exiles attempt to fight their way back into Heineken Cup rugby.
Exiles Coach Booth said: "Elvis will enhance and add depth to our potent midfield. He shares the same work and playing ethos as Seilala Mapusua."
Seveali'i added: "I'm looking forward to playing for London Irish. Having played against the club, I like the style of rugby the team plays and I'm also looking forward to linking up with my friends Seilala Mapusua and Sailosi Tagicakibau."
Irish will face Connacht, Dax, and Rugby Rovigo in Pool one with their opening match coming against the Italian side at the Madejski Stadium On Saturday, 11 October (15:00).
