Round 1 saw the 100th clash between English and Welsh sides in the Heineken Cup when Leicester Tigers beat the Ospreys 12-6 at Welford Road.
Welsh club sides were among the founder members of the tournament back in 1995/96, when Cardiff reached the inaugural final.
However, that remains the only Welsh representation in the final, while English clubs have carried off the European crown six times and have reached two other finals.
The first Anglo-Welsh clash in the Heineken Cup came at Loftus Road on Sunday, 13 October, 1996, when Cardiff beat London Wasps 26-24 thanks to two tries from Rob Howley and two drop goals from Jonathan Davies. All the home points came from the boot of Canadian outside half Gareth Rees.
The running total to date shows the English clubs having the ascendancy with 59 wins to 38 defeats and three draws.
The 101st fixture in the tournament will be Sunday's Round 2 clash between Bath and Newport Gwent Dragons at The Recreation Ground, which kicks-off at 1.00pm.
The 102nd game will start two hours later when Gloucester visit the Millennium Stadium to take on Cardiff Blues.
