England and Sale full-back Jason Robinson has been handed the captaincy for his side's Heineken Cup visit to Llanelli.
With Robinson returning, Vaughan Going moves from full-back to fly-half in place of Jos Baxendell, while 21-year-old John Roddam gets his first start in the front row in place of Springbok hooker Charles Marais, who suffered a facial injury in training.
Alex Sanderson makes his first appearance for six weeks at number eight with Chris Jones returning to the second row in place of Dean Schofield who injured an ankle last week.
Despite Sale having no chance of progressing any further in the competition Director of Rugby Jim Mallinder is still eager to win the game.
He said: "We're going there to win even though we cannot qualify for the knockout stages. We don't want to lose to anyone."
