**Pau notched a moral boosting 17-6 home win over Heineken Cup side Perpignan last weekend and should start as favourites to reach the quarter-finals of the PARKER PEN SHIELD. But GR.A.N Rugby Parma proved they are not going to be any pushovers by beating another Heineken Cup side, Viadana, 22-19 at home to stay in fifth place in the Italian Championship.
Pau were pipped by Bridgend in the first round of the PARKER PEN CHALLENGE CUP, losing out by six points on aggregate, while their Italian rivals were beaten home and away by Bath.
