The Welshmen lost out by nine points over the two legs in the first round of the PARKER PEN CHALLENGE CUP to Montauban and are bound to want to make amends in the Shield. They have reached the quarter-finals in two of the last three last seasons of the PARKER PEN SHIELD and warmed-up for their first game against a Spanish club side with a friendly defeat at Llanelli last weekend.
Club captain Chay Billen is fit to resume for the Steelmen against the reigning Spanish Cup holders, who were overpowered by the Borders on their European debut - 73-22 at home and 77-15 away.
