Peter Thorburn's team will be hoping to pick up the points on Sunday, when the Shoguns welcome Swansea to the Memorial Stadium for the return Heineken Cup Round 4 fixture.
The Bristol Shoguns coaching staff welcome back Garath Archer to the 22-man squad. Other players returning to the starting 22 include Jamie Williams and Peter Richards, both returning after injury.
Williams, 26, is named in the match day 22 for the first time after recovering from injury picked up against Gloucester in September. Also joining them are Andrew Sheridan and Julian White. Both players experienced 80 minutes of reserve team football at the start of the week.
Blindside flanker Matt Salter is set to continue in the number six shirt, about the disappointing result last weekend, he said: "I think we dropped off in performance in some ways last week. There have been a lot of pressure games and we've sort of performed in the Premiership and took our foot off the gas a bit against Swansea. Not intentionally, but we didn't perform like we wanted to. We'll go into Sunday with a different focus."
Commenting on the All Whites, Salter added: "Swansea marked last Saturday's game as a turning point in their season. Getting that victory will mean that they come here believing that they can win. We need to go back to the league and to the Powergen Cup over the next few weeks, with a win against Swansea."
Bristol Shoguns will be missing open side flanker Craig Short who is set to be out of action for at least three weeks.
Head coach Peter Thorburn said: "Craig has had an ongoing problem with a bone in his foot, and he's shown tremendous courage over the last few weeks. He's been advised to rest it for a number of weeks."
Other players not included are Emiliano Bergamaschi, who picked up a knock to his back last Saturday, but is expected to return to be in contention next week. Martin Shaw is recovering from a knock to his ankle picked up in Monday's reserve team fixture. Winger Brendon Daniel is rested.
