Toulouse prop Dragos Dima heads to Scotland this week with the Romanian national squad hoping to get an insight into some of the Edinburgh Rugby side he will be facing in Round 3 of the Heineken Cup on December 7.
The current Scottish Test team includes three Edinburgh Rugby players, and Dima is sure to get 'up close and personal' with lock Scott Murray, flanker Martin Leslie and No. 8 Simon Taylor.
And Dima will be sure to report back to his Toulouse team-mates everything he learns about his Scottish counterparts when Scotland and Romania do battle at Murrayfield on Saturday (kick-off 4:30pm.)
Dima served his apprenticeship with Romanian side Farul Constanta before moving to France to play for Castres Olympique. He made the switch to Toulouse in July this year.
And Dima will be keen for Toulouse to make it to the knock-out stages of Europe's premier competition having tasted the highs and lows last season when he came on as a replacement in last seasons 25-17 defeat to Munster in the Heineken Cup semi-final.
Dima first represented Romania at under 19 level - appearing in the under 19 World Cups in 1997, and 1998. His progression to the senior squad was inevitable following good showings in the Tournament. He made his senior Test debut against Australia in the 1999 World Cup in Belfast.
A regular ever since, Dima is set to win his 22nd cap on Saturday. But despite Romania's 40-3 reverse against Wales in last week's Test, his solid performance again caught the eye and should be enough for Dima to secure his place in Romania's World Cup squad.
