ARGENTINA 6, AUSTRALIA 17
Bristol Shoguns Heineken Cup star Felipe Contepomi was off target for the Pumas as Argentina went down 17-6 to Australia in a stormy Test in Buenos Aires at the weekend.
Wallabies wing Stirling Mortlock and Pumas forward Gonzalo Longo were both dismissed in the second half. Mortlock received his marching orders for illegal use of the shoulder and Longo followed him to the sidelines for retaliating.
Contepomi kicked all Argentina's points with two penalties but was wide with seven other attempts. Matt Burke kicked three first half penalties for the home side and Mortlock scored a try.
The only points of the second half came from the boot of Elton Flatley.
The Wallabies lost Ben Tune with a hamstring injury that looks set to keep him out of the rest of the tour.
