Italy have made eight changes to the side that lost 36-6 to Argentina last week ahead of their second autumn Test against Australia in Genoa on Saturday.
Captain Alessandro Troncon loses his place in the starting line-up and is relegated to the bench.
'I explained to the players that they would each get a chance to show what they can do on the highest stage and that this would happen in three stages,' said Italy coach John Kirwan.
'The first takes in the summer tour and these Jaguar Tests, the second is the Six Nations and the third the World Cup.'
'The same applies to Troncon. He has understood my reasoning and now it's up to Juan-Manuel Queirolo to do his bit. The captain on the field will be Marco Bortolami.'
